• I was the project team member for implementing the first time Siemens SIMATIC PCS 7 system in our singapore Schering Plough compounding facility. The system is so versatile & compliant in terms of application and controls as per regulatory CFR Part 11 requirments. Initially we were using the Yokogawa DCS system in all our facilities. We have customized the PCS 7 system to make it user friendly with the help of Simens engineers. We have installed this system in 2005 and upgraded it in 2008. It is very robust sytem which we are using to manufacture and pack the 1.2 Billion US$ product. we have learned a lot about this system communication & application in development of batch reports and audit trials to investigate the operation issues. This system is really very good in terms of multiple batches execution like run the multiple manufacturing batches & cleaning at a same time on different pieces of equipments. Due to this we have reduced the batch processing cycle times & equipment efficiency.
