UPDATE: Siemens Releases WinCC Virus Removal Tool

Following last weeks WinCC cyber security scare, Siemens has now released a downloadable tool for detecting and removing the culprit virus.

Via its support website, the company has issued the following advice for customers:

"If your computer is infected, please inform your Siemens Customer Support contact accordingly. As each plant is individually configured, we cannot rule out the possibility that removing the virus may affect your plant in some way.

"Sysclean, the publicized tool from TrendMicro for detecting and removing the virus, is available for downloading. You can now find out easily whether your computer has been infected by the virus."
