PTC ASIA to Showcases in China

PTC ASIA has become firmly established as the region’s premier marketing platform for suppliers from the power transmission and control technology sector. The show’s ongoing expansion and development reflects the dynamic growth of China’s industrial sector. This growth is forecast to continue, albeit at slightly reduced rates, which will further benefit our shows in the region. In fact, four new exhibition halls are currently under construction at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) in order to keep up with exhibitor demand. We are confident that the new halls will enable us to offer stand space to all companies who wish to raise their profile in this fast-growing economic region,” said Wolfgang Pech, the Senior Vice President in charge of Deutsche Messe’s.

Another burgeoning display category at PTC ASIA is compressed air technology, having grown from foreign trade fair business. All eight exhibition halls that will house this year’s PTC ASIA from 25 to 28 October are already fully booked.

Around 1,400 exhibitors, occupying more than 42,000 square meters (452,000 sq. ft) of display space, are expected at this year’s show – a big increase on 2009, the most recent comparable year, when 1,250 companies presented their innovations on about 31,500 square meters of space. The largest exhibitor contingents at this year’s event will come from China, Italy, Taiwan, the U.S., Japan and Korea.

Fluid power technology is the fastest-growing display category, with an expected total exhibition space of more than 30,000 square meters in 2011, as compared with the roughly 21,000 square meters booked at the 2009 show. All the leading manufacturers will return this year, including Bosch Rexroth, Eaton, Parker Hannifin, Hydac, Gates, Hawe, Brevin, Atos, Daikin, Kawasaki, SKF, Seal Maker, Kastas, Fenner, Garlock, Pall, Airtac, Pneumax, Camozzi, Pisco, Mindman, Chelic, Chanto, Hude, Yuci, Dazhong, Leemin and Lixin.

China is the number one market for German compressor, compressed air and vacuum technology manufacturers. German exports in this sector totaled 4.5 billion euros in 2010 – up 10.6 percent on 2009. At 13.3 percent, China was Germany’s most important export market, followed by the U.S., France and Italy.

PTC ASIA is run in conjunction with CeMAT ASIA, Asia’s leading intralogistics fair. Both shows are co-organized by Hannover Fairs International GmbH and Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai Ltd.
