Moog Partners Sewind to Supply Wind Turbine Pitch Control Systems in China

Moog Industrial Group, a division of Moog Inc. recently announced a strategic collaboration agreement with Sewind Co., Ltd. in China. Starting in January 2010, Moog Industrial Group will provide 400 electric pitch control systems for Sewind’s 2 MW wind turbines and variant models including on-shore and intertidal models. Ranked one of the top five companies in China’s wind energy industry, Sewind Co., Ltd. specializes in the design, manufacturing and sale of large wind turbines. It is a joint venture of the Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd. and China Huadian Engineering Co., Ltd.
