Keep an eye on building energy

Citect, a Schneider Electric company, aims to give facilities managers and owners the tools to closely monitor costs and optimize energy use in buildings with the release of CitectFacilities V7.10. The software includes a BACnet driver that facilitates integration between multiple vendor building automation control products and so allow building managers to obtain a complete picture of all facets associated with building management.

The integrated environment provides managers with information about where energy is being consumed so they can make informed decisions about reducing use. They can also rate and improve their energy consumption against targets set by the Building Green Star Ratings and Green Building Programs.

CitectFacilities V7.10 includes Windows Integrated Security and support for Microsoft Windows Vista. This allows managers to take advantage of the additional security features built into Vista, while Windows Integrated Security allows corporate security standards to be applied across the entire system, and creates a single location for the management of user accounts.
