K-TEK Announces Lower Prices for the LM80 Laser Level and Positioning Transmitter

K-TEK, a manufacturer of state-of-the-art instrumentation for level measurement, has announced lower, more aggressive pricing for the LM80 laser transmitter for non-contact level measurement and positioning. Designed for a variety of applications, the LM80 measures position over very long ranges, at distances up to 500 feet (150 meters). The device also accurately measures level at distances up to 100 feet (30 meters). All prices for the LM80 and LM80 with built-in laser pointer have been reduced 30%, putting this advanced technology in line with more traditional ultrasonic and open air radar non-contact measurement techniques.

"Just because the economy is going through a rough patch doesn't mean measurement needs go away," stated Ivo Radanov, Product Manager, Lasers, at K-TEK. "Now, more than ever, operations need to be optimized to reduce costs and increase efficiency. The LM80 is the Cadillac of level measurement, combining unheard of flexibility and accuracy. Virtually any surface can be measured at any angle with pinpoint accuracy. No beam angle divergence means the transmitter can be narrowly focused over long distances without interference from its surroundings, such as internal structures. And now this technology is available for the first time off-the-shelf and at commodity prices."

"Introducing this new, aggressive pricing for our most popular laser product, the LM80, is an important step toward our goal of establishing laser level as an easy to use and widely available alternative to ultrasonic and open air radar technology," stated Radanov. "We passed the 15,000 installation mark and are moving to the next step of more aggressive distribution. This will make K-TEK's laser products, and the LM80 in particular, true commodity products that are easy to use, attractively priced, and widely available."
