Emerson Selected as Long-Term Supplier for Qatargas Facilities

Emerson Process Management and Qatargas Operating Company Ltd. have announced a long-term alliance naming Emerson the preferred supplier of digital automation solutions and Qatargas a preferred customer for the company's oil, gas, and liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities.

The Qatargas-Emerson alliance will sustain operational excellence for Qatargas, building on the strength of the two companies' previous collaboration to automate six multi-billion dollar world-class facilities in Ras Laffan. As automation supplier on existing and future Qatargas projects, Emerson will engineer, manage, install, commission, and provide long-term support on the automation solutions for the oil, gas, and petrochemical facilities in Qatar.

In addition, Emerson will install its PlantWeb digital plant architecture with Foundation Fieldbus communications, integrate third-party equipment, and provide information technology services.
