Emerson Network Power Provides IT Infrastructure Solutions for Teliti Green Data Centre in Asia

Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson, is providing energy-efficient IT infrastructure solutions for the latest data centre being built by Teliti International, a leading IT services provider based in Malaysia.

“This win showcases Emerson Network Power’s complete portfolio and value proposition. It demonstrates the value of recent Emerson acquisitions with both Avocent and Chloride products integrating with Liebert products to formulate the complete end-to-end solution,” said Henry Ng, managing director of Emerson Network Power’s Systems business in Malaysia and an IT industry veteran with over 16 years of experience. “Furthermore, as part of a multi-million dollar development, this is one of the most significant deals for us in Southeast Asia this year."

With a proven track record and award-winning solutions that have helped solve the data centre energy consumption and management problems of all Fortune 500 companies, Emerson Network Power was the leading choice to enable eco-availability, flex capacity, infrastructure management, and high-density architecture adoption in Teliti’s data centre.

Studies suggest worldwide 'Green IT' usage can save $800 billion in annual energy cost by 2020. On opening, Teliti data centre will be Asia’s largest green data centre, one which redefines the benchmark for such services in Malaysia and the Asia-Pacific region, claims Emerson.

“The world-class technologies from Emerson Network Power and our other partners provide us with the unique ability to monitor and control every aspect of our data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling and space utilization," said Musa Mohd Lazim, CEO of Teliti Datacentres. "This allows us to fine-tune the data centre’s operation and to observe trends in capacity utilization, so that these trends can be optimally managed. In bringing together global brands such as Emerson, we have found a winning formula for a sustainable, leading-edge green data centre."

“The 120,000 square foot data centre will be equipped with interoperable, interconnected solutions from Emerson Network Power, defined according to Teliti’s physical and business objectives,” said Chan Chee Wah, regional managing director for Emerson Network Power’s Systems business in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Pakistan. “Taking advantage of Emerson’s long-standing tradition of technology and engineering expertise, customers subscribing to Teliti’s services can rest assured that they are partnering with a best-in-class provider, while concurrently contributing to a better, greener environment.”
