Emerson Automates Coal Gasification in China
Emerson DeltaV to control Henan Longyu Coal Chemical Industry Group plants.
Henan Longyu Coal Chemical Industry Group selected Emerson Process Management DeltaV process automation system to control the coal gasification process at a new chemical plant in Henan province, China. Emerson technology will help Henan Longyu manage the process efficiently and cost-effectively.
The new plant will use the WuHuan Gasifier process to produce 400,000 tons per year of acetic acid and 200,000 tons per year of ethylene glycol. Total project investment is estimated at more than $600 million US dollars.
