ABB makes control systems leadership appointment
ABB has announced that Daniel Huber has been promoted to Business Unit manager for the company’s control systems business within the Process Automation division. He will be responsible for the global product business of ABB’s portfolio of control systems, including the flagship Industrial IT Extended Automation System 800xA as well as a large installed base of traditional control systems.

In his new role, Huber will also have the business responsibility of specific system solutions, applications, and services for the life science, specialty chemical, food, beverage and printing industries, and help to build and strengthen ABB’s network of third party sales channel partners.
Most recently, Huber was global technology manager for ABB’s Process Industries Products business, and oversaw product roadmaps and forward evolution for ABB’s control systems portfolio.
He joined ABB in 1987 and has held a number of positions in research and development, product management, marketing, sales, service, and business development in ABB’s Power Generation and Utility Automation businesses, as well as Corporate Research. He has also held similar positions at Adtranz and General Electric.
