Low Cost Enclosed AC/DC Power Supplies from XP Power

-- Product News, 7 December 2009

XP Power has announced the availability of its LCL series of single output chassis mount enclosed AC/DC power supplies. The low cost range comprises 150, 300 and 500 Watt models and provides a typical efficiency of 90% at full load. The 150 Watt units are convection cooled while the others benefit from an integral cooling fan.. All units come with screw terminals and self-retaining guards.
The LCL series accepts the full universal input voltage of 85 VAC to 264 VAC without the need for selector switches. The LCL range does not require any derating at low line and provides the full power across the input range 90 VAC to 264 VAC. Each power range provides the nominal output voltages of +12, + 13.5, +15, +24, +27 or +48 VDC. The output can be adjusted by +/- 1V of stated output to compensate for cable losses or non-standard voltage requirements.
Suiting a wide variety of factory automation, process control and light industrial applications, the LCL series can operate over a wide range of temperature. The 150 Watt and 300 Watt units provide full power without derating from -10 degrees C to + 50 degrees C, with the 500 Watt unit being able to provide full power right up to +55 degrees C.
All units incorporate comprehensive protection and control features such as over temperature, over voltage, over current and short circuit. In addition, the LCL300 and LCL500 units feature remote on/off control and the LCL500 further incorporates a remote sense function.
The LCL series is approved to safety standards EN60950-1, UL60950-1 and CSA60950 No 22.2 for information technology equipment. Emissions are to EN55022 level B conducted.
