Frost & Sullivan Industrial Technologies Awards

Regional process automation players were among those vying for prizes at the recent 2008 Frost & Sullivan Industrial Technologies Awards ceremony, which recognized technology leaders in South East Asia and Australia & New Zealand.


The category “Industrial Process Control” was one of five sets of awards presented at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; the others being Electronics & Security, Measurement & Instrumentation, Energy & Power Systems, and Environment & Building Technologies.


According to Satish Lele, Director, Industrial Practice at Frost & Sullivan, “This year Frost & Sullivan launched country specific analysis of the markets in Southeast Asia, which allowed us to understand the dynamics and future trends of the region and its implication for automation companies. As 2007 was another strong year for business, many automation players have responded with significant investment in the region.”


According to Frost & Sullivan, the awards are based on extensive market engineering tools in which industry analysts compare market participants and measure performance through in-depth interviews, analysis, and extensive secondary research in order to identify best practices in the industry.

The Industrial Process Control Market Leadership plaques were given for the four categories of SCADA, DCS, PLC, and Automation & Software, with the awards going to:
