Aimed at machine automation applications, the DPAC-3000 distributed programmable automation controller from Adlink offers digital and analog I/O and motion control, while reducing cabling.
The stand-alone DPAC-3000 incorporates a fast, time-deterministic Motionnet fieldbus and Adlink’s High-Speed Link (HSL) distributed I/O technology to reduce cabling and ease installation. An HSL network is highly expandable, allowing thousands of I/O points to be controlled over Category 5 Ethernet cabling.
The DPAC-3000 features a front control panel for system integrators to design their own user control interface, which can be used for monitoring purposes, as well as parameter setting and checking.
The unit can be configured with an AMD Geode LX800 or Intel Celeron M 1.0-GHZ processor in a vertical-mount compact form factor. It also comes with 512 Mbytes of SDRAM, one RS-232 port, and one RS-232/422/485 port and provides Windows CE, Windows XP Embedded, and IEC-61131 language support.
