Radar Sensor from VEGA for Standard Measuring Tasks in Bulk Solids

-- Product News, 18 April 2008

With its new radar sensor VEGAPULS 67, VEGA says it now offers contactless radar measurement at very low cost. The VEGAPULS 67 finds application in areas where, for reasons of economy, ultrasonic instruments or capacitive probes were used until now. A new antenna system of plastic makes it possible to offer VEGAPULS 67 at a considerably lower price.
The sensor can be used for applications in medium-sized silos up to 15 m high and the mounting concept makes it easy to adapt the small, light sensors to existing mounting apertures. And the two-wire technology enables existing connection wiring to be used during replacement of obsolete measuring systems. The sensor has all the relevant ATEX approvals for use in dust Ex hazardous areas.
