The IE-ARM-EOSPF (Ethernet) and IE-ARM-UOSPF (RS232) mini routers from Weidmüller make it possible to establish a simple connection between industrial networks and other networks or to the Internet. A fi rewall integrated in the router offers additional protection and security.
OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) is a routing protocol designed to automate larger networks. Mini routers with OSPF functionality know their way around the connected network topology. If the main connection to the Internet fails, the router in question can automatically establish an alternative route.
Featuring plastic housings rated to IP20, the compact mini routers snap onto TS 32/35 mounting rails for installation. Fully IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u and IEEE 802.3x compliant, the mini routers are available with the following ports: 2xRJ45/1xRS- 232 or 1xRJ45/2xRS-232.
