The S-MAX 412/415/417 CE PN controller from Phoenix Contact is a high-end system for controlling, operating, monitoring, and communicating. The unit incorporates realtime- capable fieldbuses, a Profinet I/O controller and an Interbus master. PLC and fieldbus functions can be programmed universally using the PC Worx automation software, while the visualisation can be generated using the Visu+ or ProVisIT software tool. The devices are available with a variety of colour TFT displays incorporating touch screen capability.
Phoenix claims the controller allows extensive functionality and universal applicability. The units are used in mechanical and plant engineering, building automation and the water/waste water industry.
