ICP DAS Profibus Remote I/O Unit

The PROFI-8455 from ICP DAS, provides the PROFIBUS DP communication protocol with any DP-Masters, and provides 3000V DC power isolation protection and 4KV ESD protection contacting for all terminals at front-panel. In addition, many kinds of i-8K and i-87K I/O modules are also provided with the PROFI-8455.
The PROFI-8455 offers 4 slots as a slave, and up to 39 channels for diagnosis. The PROFI-8455 follows the PROFIBUS DP-V0 protocol, under this architecture, up to12Mbps, The PROFIBUS-8455 supports hot-swap for modules, and runs auto transmission rate detection.
In 2008, ICP DAS has promised to release more PROFIBUS-related products. These include the PROFIBUS-8155/8255/8855, each of which respectively supports 1/2/8 slots for PROFIBUS remote I/O units. Moreover, the protocol converters from PROFIBUS to Modbus or from PROFIBUS to RS-232/422/485 will be gradually seen through the year, such as i-7550 and GW-7552.
