-- Product News, 30 March 2008

ICS Triplex ISaGRAF Inc has announced that the ISaGRAF 5 control software now fully supports TenAsys’ INtime real-time operating system (RTOS). INtime provides deterministic, hard real-time control, using the capabilities of Intel Architecture processors.
“Our ability to dedicate one core of a multi-core processor exclusively to the INtime kernel and ISaGRAF runtime engine, while the remaining cores run Windows, is unique,” said Kim Hartman, TenAsys VP Sales and Marketing. “It provides ISaGRAF developers with a reliable and deterministic Windows platform for microsecond level accuracy and repeatability.”
ICS says that using the ISaGRAF Development Toolkit with INtime enables high volume equipment manufacturers to build robust embedded systems. According to ICS, they can transform controllers into a PLC, DCS or RTU, and also have access to useful features such as data quality, millisecond time stamping, event sequencing, trending, alarming, processor synchronization, GPS support and redundancy.
