-- 1 March 2008

The launch of the EKI-7626C 16+2 gigabit combo unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch from Advantech is in recognition of the continuing growth of Ethernet in industrial applications and the need for gigabit ports to provide the capacity needed for increased network traffic.

The EKI-7626C is equipped with 16 10/100Base-TX fast Ethernet ports and two 10/100/1000 Mbps gigabit Ethernet ports. The gigabit combo ports support both copper (RJ45) connections as well as optional small form-factor pluggable (SFP) modules for fiber optic connections.

Each Ethernet port is equipped with front-facing LED indicators that provide transmission speed, link, and activity status to aid diagnostics. The EKI-7626C targets bandwidth-intensive applications and those requiring the flexibility to accommodate long-distance and noise-immune fiber optic connections.
