Modicon M340 PAC from Schneider Electric

Telemecanique, the automation and control brand of Schneider Electric, has launched the Modicon M340 Programmable Automation Controller (PAC). According to Schneider Electric, the Modicon M340 PAC provides numerous cost and performance advantages over comparably priced midrange PLCs and is woks well as a companion to Schneider Electric's high-end controllers — Modicon Quantum and Premium.
The Modicon M340 PAC requires no batteries, flash memory backup eliminates program loss and maintenance costs during power failure. Its highly compact size (4”H x 3.7”D) fits 6" enclosure, which reduces panel size and costs. Its high density 64 point I/O cards that are only 1.25” wide and provide the ability to pack in large number of I/O in a very compact space. It also comes with 4 MB memory (with 16MB data option) and an execution speed of 7K instructions/ms, with CANopen, Ethernet and Modbus industry-standard network connectivity.
