WINA, the Wireless Industrial Networking Alliance, announced that it will found a chapter outside North America. The chapter, based in Singapore, will serve the Asia Pacific region and is the first chapter outside of North America for the organization.“Extending our presence into the Asia Pacific region will help to further our mission of helping industry understand and accept wireless technology. This region is a source of many wireless technologies, and is leading the world in industrial growth. WINA’s increased presence in this part of the world will benefit all concerned with industrial wireless technology,” said WINA president Hesh Kagan.The WINA Board of Directors also announced the appointment of Sachin Gupta, Senior Wireless Consultant for Invensys Process Systems, to lead the formation of the new chapter.Sachin, based in Singapore, commented, “Our local wireless community will benefit from WINA’s presence.
