Safety relay monitors analog signals

The Pilz PNOZmulti confi gurable safety relay is able to monitor analog input signals such as current or voltage, something only previously been possible using programmable control systems. With its analog input module, the PNOZmulti is particularly suitable for the process engineering sector, as well as for cable car and chair lift design and burner controls.
The analog input module provides two independent, safe inputs, and the PNOZmulti confi guration tool makes it possible to defi ne up to eight limit values for each input. The inputs are suitable for connecting transducers or encoders with standardized 10 V voltage signals or 20 mA current signals. The module is 45 mm wide and is inserted to the left of the PNOZmulti base unit.
With the PNOZmulti, instead of wiring, the user creates his safety circuit on a PC using a confi guration tool. The completed confi guration is then transferred to the base unit via chip card.
