2007 really was the year that programming of multicore computers was democratized. National Instruments (NI) released LabVIEW 8.5 to enable LabVIEW programmers to make their applications multicore-ready very easily. This in turn allows the easy incorporation of multicore computer technology in measurement and control applications.
2008 is the year of expansion in Southeast Asia. We see tremendous growth potential here, including countries like Vietnam and the Philippines. The Graphical System Design frame work introduced by National Instruments has now taken strong root, and we see its direct impact on revenue growth.
