Intermec experienced strong business growth in 2007, especially in our focal area of providing supply chain hardware solutions to manufacturing and transportation customers. There were also signifi cant product announcements like the SR61ex and the CN3e. The SR61ex is the fi rst handheld cordless scanner to incorporate the company’s proprietary EX near-far area imaging technology, and the CN3e is the fi rst mid-size, rugged, mobile handheld to offer a fully integrated, independent GPS option, as well as Wi-Fi, WWAN, Bluetooth and GPS in a single rugged design.
For 2008, digitalization and security will be top of minds when it comes to ICT deployment of customers. As more company proprietary information is transmitted wirelessly between the back-end ERP host systems and frontend mobile devices, CIOs are increasingly concerned about the data integrity and security.
