Intermec Grants RFID Patent Licenses to Honeywell

Intermec Technologies, has licensed Rapid Start to Honeywell under Intermec's RFID patents following Honeywell's acquisition of Hand Held Products. Honeywell's license will give it access to this technology with respect to portable RFID readers.
Honeywell joins 22 other licensees under Intermec's RFID patents, including Accu-sort, Avery Dennison, AWID, Cisco, Datamax, EM Micro, Feig Electronics, Hand Held Products, LXE, Motorola, Philips Semiconductor, PSC, Psion Teklogix, Sato, Sharp Corp., Symbol Technologies, Texas Instruments, Thingmagic, Toppan Printing, Tyco, Transcore and Zebra Technologies.
Intermec holds more than 154 RFID patents covering broad areas of supply chain applications. Intermec's patents cover all global standards and classes for the practice of RFID technology, including EPCglobal Class 0, Class 1, Class 1 Generation 2, ISO, ETSI and others.
