-- 1 August 2007

Southeast Asia wound its way through four cities in the region in June and early July: Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, and Singapore.
On offer was an update on the industrial automation software company’s products and technologies, in particular CitectSCADA V7.0, user case studies, plus networking opportunities with other users and with Citect staff.
And looking for more ways to engage its client base and to encourage cross-sharing of ideas and experiences, Michael Preston, Business Development Director, South Asia, announced the proposed setting up of a Citect User Group for the region.
“The aim is to provide a forum for the latest technologies and industrial practices where users can network with each other, meet Citect engineers and management, all with the aim of optimizing and enjoying the Citect experience,” explained Preston. Citect users interested to sign up with the User Group should send their details to: users-group@citect.com.
Scott Druery, Managing Director, South East Asia, told CE Asia that he was very pleased with the response to the Tech Update seminars and more are planned for the rest of Asia in August and September. He also revealed that business volume is surpassing expectations, with an extremely healthy first quarter indicating that 2007 is likely to see significant growth for Citect in the region.
