Mitsubishi Electric Asia celebrates 30 years

-- 1 August 2007

Mitsubishi Electric Asia toasted three decades of growth and success in grand style with a gala dinner at Singapore’s Ritz Carlton hotel in front of 800 invited guests and 200 of its own staff. Starting from a single sales office in Singapore in 1977, the company now has sales, marketing, engineering and service centers across Southeast Asia and India, to support products ranging from air conditioners and refrigerators to PLCs and machine tools.
Managing Director Takashi Fuji cited several factors that have sustained Mitsubishi Electric Asia and propelled it to its current level of success.
“Quality products, quality, solutions, quality partners, and quality people. These all add up to Mitsubishi Electric Quality, or MEQ. And we also take very seriously our corporate social responsibility – through our environmental initiatives and by helping to improve the lives of the less fortunate in the community.”
Highlights of the evening celebration included classical and modern music performances, appearances by TV celebrities, an award to the longest serving (30 years) staff member, and, of course, the much anticipated lucky draw with prizes from the Mitsubishi range of products.
