Citect’s Ampla MES Solution has been recognized by SAP with an award for Best New Application Ported to SAP NetWeaver (ANZ) and Powered by NetWeaver ISV at the recent SAP Asia Pacific FKOM & Partner Congress ’07 in Hong Kong. Citect was also an exhibitor at the event that hosted over 1800 SAP partners andSAP teams from all over the world.

The SAP award marks an important step in Citect’s relationship with SAP, says the automation software company. Its Ampla MES (manufacturing execution system) solution became NetWeaver-certified in 2006 and has been successful in reducing the cost of plant to business interoperability, while at the same time enabling Ampla’s key production information to be displayed inside the SAP EnterprisePortal.

“Citect is very honored to receive this award. ‘Islands of automation’ are quickly and rightly disappearing. Financial systems, control systems and operational management systems are being connected so that everyone in a company has ‘one view of the truth.’ We see tremendous value for Citect and SAP’s joint customers in developing customercentric solutions based on the NetWeaver platform,” commented Colette Munro, Citect’s Global Director, Ampla.

Citect says it will continue to work closely with SAP and participate in SAP events throughout the world, with several events planned in Asia.
