Oracle widens footprint in India to 23 cities

As part of its commitment to make Oracle technology and applications accessible to organizations of all sizes across highgrowth cities in India, Oracle has announced successful completion of the first phase of expansion into 17 of India’s high-growth cities. This brings Oracle’s total footprint in India to 23cities.


“As we rapidly extend our geographic reach across India, we are empowering more and more Indian organizations with industry-leading technology to better compete in the global market. Together with our growing network of over 400 certified channel partners, we provide local expertise and support to help companies better manage their IT infrastructure and business,” said Mr. Krishan Dhawan, Managing Director, Oracle India.


“Growth cities in India are experiencing phenomenal economic growth and will contribute significantly to the country’s economy. Organizations in these cities face challenges in addressing their operational efficiencies and scaling their business,” said Mr Anup Varma, Regional Sales Director, Mid-Market Technology, Oracle India.

Customers who have recently adopted Oracle technology in these growth markets since the company introduced its growth city initiative in March 2006 include Sonic Biochem (Indore), Auto Clutches (Goa), Noble Grains India Pvt Ltd (Jaipur), Indian Copper Complex (Bhubaneshwar), Apex Auto Limited (Bhubaneshwar), Bihar Education Project and CMA CGM Logistics Park (Dadri) Pvt Ltd.
