GE Fanuc gets together in Shanghai

The Business Advisory Council (BAC) is the biggest annual event for GE Fanuc Asia Pacific. This year – under the theme, Together, We Win! – it took place over three days in early February with more than 320 participants from different regions inAsia Pacific in attendance.


Opening the session was Channel Day for GE Fanuc channel partners. This encompassed general updates of the global business as well as Control Systems Business (CSB) & Software Solutions, with the aim to develop closer communication with channels on different topics like marketing, warranty,finance, etc.


The second day, Customer Day, was the first time in Asia Pacific that the BAC was combined with the User Conference. Tradeshow booths for CSB, Software Solutions, Embedded, Global Care, Technical Support, which were alongside those of three other business units from GE Industrial– Sensing, Security and C&I, displayed thelasted technologies and enabled users toaddress questions to GE Fanuc staff. A seriesof technical presentations also enhanced thelearning experience for visitors.


One highlight of the BAC 2007 was the Channel Awards which were presented to 18 companies across five categories. Among the winners: TDS Technology from Singapore (Top Distributor Award); Swift Solutions from Malaysia (Special Achievement Award); Sarla Technologies from India (Top Software Distributor Award); Solari Computer Engineering from China (Top Growth Distributor Award).
