Part of the Rockwell Automation Logix PAC family, CompactLogix delivers the benefits of the Logix control engine but in a smaller form factor. Suitable for small and midsized applications, CompactLogix includes up to 30 local I/O modules and a choice of communication ports and network connectivity options. The Logix control engine has advanced features which help to simplify development, integration and operation of all control applications – from simple to large architectures. A single CompactLogix controller can do the job of multiple PLC, motion or process controllers – at lower cost and with no loss of performance. For machine builders, putting CompactLogix at the heart of the machine leverages efficiencies and economies offered by Integrated Architecture – for sequential, motion, process, drive and information automation disciplines. The integrated EtherNet/IP port enables real-time I/O and drive control, device configuration, data collection, peer interlocking, and the planning of floor-to-enterprise connectivity.
