Cognex Corporation has unveiled In-Sight Explorer network automation software for In- Sight wafer readers. It includes tools to manage a system of networked In-Sight wafer readers throughout the fab, from any networked PC inside or outside of the cleanroom. In-Sight Explorer provides controls for remote setup of wafer readers, network, I/O, managing access level permissions, system backup and restore, and other system management tasks. In addition, the In-Sight 1721 wafer reader now includes a new Microsoft .NET-based graphical user interface for fast, simple setup and modification. The new user interface provides the look and feel of 1700 Series models, while supporting the latest Microsoft operating systems. The In-Sight 1721 retrofits easily into existing equipment, the company said.
