Cognex Corporation has unveiled In-Sight Explorer network automation software for In- Sight wafer readers. It includes tools to manage a system of networked In-Sight wafer readers throughout the fab, from any networked PC inside or outside of the cleanroom. In-Sight Explorer provides controls for remote setup of wafer readers, network, I/O, managing access level permissions, system backup and restore, and other system management tasks. In addition, the In-Sight 1721 wafer reader now includes a new Microsoft .NET-based graphical user interface for fast, simple setup and modification. The new user interface provides the look and feel of 1700 Series models, while supporting the latest Microsoft operating systems.
