Autodesk Solution Day 2006 to showcase new technologies in design

Autodesk Inc. announced that its annual conference platform, Autodesk Solution Day, will this year showcase new technologies and best practices aimed at helping local designers in the manufacturing, civil engineering, building, construction, and other industries. Themed “Accelerate Your Ideas”, the conference will tour Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines.
The conference aims to promote cutting-edge and next-generation design solutions and technologies such as 3D modeling. It will feature a series of technical sessions tailored for the manufacturing, infrastructure, building, construction, media and entertainment industries. Each industry breakout track focuses on helping design professionals leverage technology in turning
ideas into physical reality in their respective industries, the company said.
The conference will also feature Auto-CAD 2007 - the latest release of Autodesk’s CAD platform. Participants will be given
insights into the new features of AutoCAD 2007, including conceptual design – a 3D visualization feature. AutoCAD 2007 incorporates the mental ray rendering engine, the very latest in rendering technology previously exclusive to the movie, animation and gaming industries, according to the company.
