Singapore announces manufacturing excellence award

Singapore’s manufacturing sector is getting a boost in the form of the Manufacturing Excellence Award (MAXA). Presented by the Economic Development Board (EDB), together with its partners, McKinsey & Company and the Singapore-MIT Alliance (SMA), MAXA will recognize companies which have achieved world-class manufacturing standards in their operations in Singapore.All companies with manufacturing facilities in Singapore are eligible to vie for MAXA through self-nomination. The selection process consists of: 1) a selection process based on a written submission; 2) a two-day assessment consisting of a plant-visit and interviews; 3) a final presentation and Q&A session from a panel of judges.www.maxa.sg
