Slim I/O cable connector

Tyco Electronics has introduced the Slim I/O cable connector for panel applications. This connector system provides power and/or signal I/O capability for short and long-reach cable. Optional passive equalization of signals is also available. The Slim I/O connector system is capable of performing at Gigabit speeds and specifically designed to enhance the I/O flexibility product line for Base Transmission Stations (BTS) and other communications applications. It enables the designer to incorporate hard metric packaging practice, in telecommunications and computer systems, as well as instrumentation applications with slot pitch as narrow as 15 mm. The Slim I/O connector complies with IEC 917 and IEC 61076-4-101 and supports applications at data rates up to 3.125 Gbps (differential signaling) with edge rates of 100 psec. www.tycoelectronics.com
