Schneider Electric holds South East Asia Initiative in Thailand

Schneider Electric welcomed its South East Asian customers to familiarize themselves with its technology and applications in Bangkok in December 2005.According to Schneider Electric, the goal of the private event is to present its knowhow through conferences, exhibitions and demonstrations. 1500 customers from 11 countries attended the event which covered topics such as architecture, networks, communication, security, open solutions, flexible infrastructures, eco-design of products, cost management and performance optimization.The event also featured three demonstration points presenting Automation and Control solutions, Electrical Distribution solutions, and mastering software through hands-on sessions.Journalists had the opportunity to visit Schneider Electric’s Bangpoo plant located in Bangkok. The facility included a circuit breaker plant and an enclosure plant manufacturing miniature circuit breakers, molded- case circuit breakers, busbars, earth leakage residual current devices, consumer units and load centers. At the press conference, John Griffiths, Country Director, Thailand – Laos, emphasized the important role Schneider Thailand plays in the Thai electrical industry, recording significant growth in 2005 with a total team of more than 600 associates including over 450 in its Bangpoo manufacturing plant.
