Congratulations to Mr. JM Chen of West Pharmaceuticals
for winning the Siemens Challenge - SIMATIC PCS 7
More than 68 entries from different companies and SIMATIC PCS 7 users participated by sharing their learning experiences on using the SIMATIC PCS 7 Distributed Control System.

The entries were reviewed and selected by a panel of judges from the ASEAN Regional Headquarters and Siemens Headquarters in Germany. It was later eliminated down to 3 entries JM Chen of West Pharmaceuticals,Singapore, Engineer Anthony Arciaga of Unilab,Philippines, and Mr. Mohd Azman Ali of DYNAC SDN BHD Malaysia. Finally, Mr. JM Chen garnered the most number of votes from the panel of judges and took home the grand prize of Apple IPAD version 2.

Siemens Helps Universities Develop Next Generation of Vietnamese Engineers with US$71 Million In-Kind Software Grant to the Higher Engineering Education Alliance Program
Ho Chi Minh City, April 15, 2011 - Siemens today announced an in-kind software grant with a commercial value of US$71 million to the Higher Education Engineering Alliance Program (HEEAP). The in-kind software grant, provided by Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division and a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, will help universities develop the next generation of Vietnamese engineers.    more

Siemens Automation Road Show Takes Off
The Industry Automation & Drive Technologies (IA DT) division of Siemens Thailand, provider of products, systems and solutions in industrial automation, is unveiling its mobile technology expo and marketing roadshow, in the form of a demo truck, to customers and the public at the Energy Saving 2011 exhibition, March 24 to 26, 2011 at BITEC, Bangna, Bangkok. This truck road show is the second mobile marketing campaign that Siemens has undertaken in Thailand following the successful Exiderdome launch five years ago.    more
Siemens to equip the LANXESS Butyl Rubber Plant in Singapore with an integrated electrical distribution and automation solution
Siemens Singapore has been awarded a contract by LANXESS, the world's biggest manufacturer of synthetic rubber to design, deliver and commission the automation system and the electrical distribution for LANXESS's new Butyl Rubber production facility in Jurong Island, which is the most modern of its kind in Asia. Jurong Island is a petrochemical base that has attracted billions of dollars in foreign investment.    more
